It doesn't seem like a terrible idea but I guess the majority of people who would know about the service would be relatively keen cyclists who probably know better than to go out without the equipment to repair a puncture etc. Is there a similar service that charges per pickup? Could be useful for people that very occasionally go out for a Sunday ride with the kids etc but don't really know what they're doing if something goes wrong.
Tubular tyres, ITC. Tubular tyres! Different to clinchers. Anyone can change and inner tube/ fix a broken chain/ bodge a broken rear mech/ straighten a stem, etc.
Fair point about sitting on a train like a dick because you couldn't fix a problem though!
