Oswald - I saw that the other day, really liked it. Very similar in concept in many ways.

I'm still turning it over in my head at the moment but the direction I am thinking of going is to offer a steel fork with front rack mounts (or full integrated custom rack), and/or a carbon fork that we'll modify in house with mudguard tabs (no rack).

If you see a chap with a beard riding the yellow Path Racer please don't push him off - it's Damon and the frame is now his.

Thinking of dropping the BB a little on #2, and we'll look at the fork situation.

Would it be worth getting in touch with kinesis - Taiwan rather than UK, or their agent - and finding out minimum volumes? Looks like, while it wont be the most bling of solutions, you need the DC53A with the dropouts from the DL53A

Or do any orient express frames come with a suitable fork?

I think we'll make them from steel for this one - I want to fit low-rider panniers to allow a bit of Path Tourer action (or, more accurately, commute to work without a bag on).

For non-pannier use we'll bond some eyelets onto a carbon fork.

Using my spare 3T Luteus CX fork, which will be modified to accept PDW mudguards and a Tubus Tara.

The CX fork will allow the use of 30c Strada Bianca, plus mudguards.

Paintwise I've got a few ideas, does anyone know if there is a paint equivalent of that 3M fabric which Nike made the US Olympic team jackets out of?

re: reflective paint, the updated Condor Fratello might possibly have the kind of thing you are after. They have used it on the rear stays:

Velocity also have grey rims with reflective coating.

Might be worth finding out what they use.

I've been looking for something like that too, for my new winter bike. Haven't found anything yet which works well. The current plan is just to use panels of black 3M reflective tape on top of the basecoat and underneath the clearcoat. They work rather well.

Basically seems you chuck a bunch of teeny glass beads on stuff, it looks kinda shitty but it might be something you can mess around with and make work better, maybe mix up a clearcoat with beads already in it or something.

I've seen some automotive wraps that reflect under direct light.

I don't suppose you've got a link or a part number or anything? I ordered some ages ago to do a bag but it was too thick and peeled off. That stuff looks like it would wrap and actually stick to my bag.

I don't think it would be any good for fabric to be honest.
