One moment I'm here looking at your bike, the next I have a Dawes blocking the entrance of my flat, condemned to eat boiled rice until next year. I blame the internet.
Do you mind if I ask you how wide a tyre can you run with mudguards on yours? I bought Paselas 28s (my ass, they look more like 25s) and there's a bit of space left, it might take a similarly small built 32 but can't see how it'd fit anything wider, which is a bit of a shame.
I actually found the tandem very forgiving, much more flex than a single bike, but the lady cycling behind me begs to disagree.
Marathon 32s were fine. A not-quite-fully-inflated 35c Michelin something-or-other was just acceptable but at proper psi caused issues. The mudguards are the SKS Chromoplastics in 45mm wide (I think).
