It's time to part ways with this wonderful frame, since moving out of London it hasn't had the use so looking to get this into the hands of someone who can enjoy it as much as I did on the London streets. So nimble, so light, so quick and so fucking rad!

Here are the details from Rik's sale thread who I bought it from, he says it better than I could -

    http://www.lfgss.com/thread31076.html

The frame is a Lo-pro TT funny bike, fillet brazed with Columbus SL tubing, curvy seat tube and top tube goodness, not many lo-pro were's made with this tubing, made by Aende(Pongo Braithwaite was the frame builder) based in Mansfield until the 90s.
All the decals were removed from the previous owner.
    Dimensions:
seat tube (in straight line) 56cm CtC
top tube (in straight line) 57cm CtC
I'm just 6ft and fit me OK

It has vertical drop outs, but at the moment has a 48/18 magic ratio and has never give any problems.
Also, it has all the braze-ons, in case you want to put the gears back
yes, it is drilled for brakes front and rear
    Selling only frame and forks

The Dura Ace 650c front wheel, model WH-7700, factory wheel. One of the most beautiful wheels ever made imho
Clincher and more rare than hen's teeth
New Continental Grand Prix 3000 tyre and inner tube included. 650x20c
    It has breaking surface.
    Has an emerald green shine
16 spokes if you want you can read some reviews here, and a test in lateral stiffness here

Prices, for the frame, forks, headset and BB in the region of £280, and for the 650c wheel around £150, for the rear wheel £50 (Mavic MA40 rim on OnOne Fix/Fix with 16 and 18 I think! (will check) if the buyer takes both wheels and F+F.

I can drop off in London: Kings X, Victoria, St James, Blackfriars (preferred)

I've been away from the forum for a while so will donate another sum.

Here are some of the images from the original thread and from when it was bought off eBay. The decals have been rubbed down like in the top image, NOTE THE ZIPP WHEEL IS NOT WHAT'S FOR SALE! The images attached are the most recent, if you need more give me a shout. Note the bit of surface rust which I've pictured and in essence is what has begun the exodus of the bicycle loveliness from my stable -

  • One of the best looking bikes on the forum.
Good luck with the sale, I'd be all over this if I didn't already have one of Pongo's creations.

  • Cheers Christian, I'm on the lookout for a 57cm Road Aende to replace this, can't be without a Pongo in my life for too long! ha!

  • thats a beauty of a bike.

I also have an aende lopro just sitting in my room.
I think its time to try this magic ratio shindig!

  • Yeah! I've never had an issue with it.

  • Wow its a porn bike!!
I m 6.2 tall with 3f legs. I ride 58 road bike. Do you think it will be to small for me?

  • I'd think you'd be stretching the limits, but I always rode it with risers, if you had a longer stem with bullhorns(I have mavic & LA84's for sale if needed) it could work...

  • This is the bike that led me to LFGSS, to the whole addiction, to chasing around the internet looking for Aendes ... And I still can't tell if I like it. But what a blast to own it.

  • Now's your chance to own it! :-) in the flesh it's something else, I've really loved riding this bike.

  • is this still for sale?

  • Yes!

  • Hi, if it's still for sale please pm me your phone #
