If you can, I would recommend going for the SRAM S700, it's a 10 speed full hydraulic system.

I can't find SRAM S700 in stock online but from the few links I did stumble across it looks a bit too pricey for me. I was looking at spending around £500 max for the aforementioned groupset and brakes (taking into consideration I can sell the rim brakes from the group).

go for at least 45mm which can handle up to 32mm tyres

Archetype have braking surface, you don't need those

I know this, but they look so good. I'd actually like to save a bit of cash on the wheel setup so I'll certainly consider alternatives. I could especially do with saving some weight as the Straggler frameset is a heavy bugger. The Pacenti CL25 you mentioned would save me a little of both and would look nice next to the MTX33s I have on my Brooklyn. So thanks again. I'll have a think.
