What time is it? Watches and horology

Looking for a birthday watch, that the girlfriend is going to get me. Can't be too expensive, max budget £150, automatic, chunky, and robust, probably similar to the seiko skx007 I had Murtle mod. Any suggestions, would like new rather than eBay or secondhand, just as it'd be easier to get hold of. My birthday is in a couple of weeks.

Agree with this, bought my Seiko through them and it turned up in a few days. Very good service! Unfortunately they don't stock the Citizen I'm after otherwise I'd be throwing more money at them!

Many people here recommend Alsal for repairs. That Tag will probably be a standard ETA movement, so nothing esoteric, or specialist.
