Get that lazy baby his own bike, problem solved :)
-
• #1103
He's got one, but I'm not sure a four year old and five miles on the A24 is a good combination?
-
• #1104
^ this kind of stuff is why I don't babysit.
-
• #1105
Bungee cord ftw.

Can anyone suggest a good light front disc hub thats bolts/nuts not QR?
in 36 holes, I want the fix craft one really but shipping is too expensive -
• #1107
trials ones.
-
• #1108
Most of the trials ones are 32h but its worth a try.
-
• #1109
Hope are convertible ain't they?
-
• #1110
You can fit a solid axle and nuts to a qr shimano hub, very easy to do. I think velosolo sell a kit?
-
• #1112
Mainly to different thru axles apparently.
(In reply to my hope comment)
Shimano swap out was going to be my next suggestion. -
• #1113
Yeh hope don't do it, winstanleys is out of stock, triton do those surlys but are £80 and trials ones are all 28 or 32, don't want a shimano because I want sealed bearings. first world problems eh!
-
• #1114
Would female nutted axles do? Atomlab do some I think, maybe some others too, Arthur has some nice Paul ones but they are pricey.
-
• #1115
yeh atom lab pimp are 32 i think, dartmoor make one called the vee-two but their sold out at the suplier
-
• #1116
Sealed bearings for polo?! It's not that wet up here...
I have a Surly front disc hub, might be 32 though, will check later.
-
• #1117
Damn, turns out I've got a 32h disc hub and a 36 non disc.
-
• #1118
ah its ok, noticed the DMR front disc hub comes in 36 with QR and threaded bolts AND you can also get an axle conversion for it so gonna go for that
-
• #1119
I can probably get you a good deal on a fixcraft, with no shipping, but it would have to wait until I come to the UK in the new year, which I guess is too late.
-
• #1120
cheers john, going with DMR but the fix craft ones are pretty perfect
-
• #1121
Surely surly?
I got a 48h, they must have 36, somewhere?
-
• #1122
Surly are £80 was just too much for a front hub
-
• #1124
I thought his post said 48?
Am sorted now anyway cheers -
• #1125
48h disc hubs available still! front and rear.
I was kind of cheating, not the polo bike, it's actually the back wheel of my child carrying bike.
Which gets ridden around pot hole filled Surrey roads with and extra three stone on the back. As well as the odd bit of track riding without the extra weight... Plus the odd jump on teddington lock jumps :)
Don't think it's under tensioned, actually thought the opposite? Might be time to get a tensionometer?
Does it make any difference that they were all on the non drive side trailing (I think trailing, but all the same direction for certain)?
