If you're buying a bike and are desperate for a sloping top-tube, just buy one designed that way. Buying a low-pro designed for 24" or 650c wheels and whapping a 700c fork in there and all you'll be left with is a sub-optimal bike that looks like this.
< can someone find the picture of that monstrous Tefler (?) low-pro with the bodge 700c fork and the reversed seat post that sent Tester in to apoplexy? >

Looks like what?

I'm trying to find the picture. It basically looks like a steel horse abortion and is a perfect representation of what happens when you fundamentally fuck up frame geometries.

I've been looking at the Colossi Rambler Pursuit.Cant find a British dealer though.

700c x 700c lo pro? This seems like a good enough excuse to post my KHS
-
• #42715
YES!
I've not ridden that any real distance since July...
Edit: I've changed my mind, it looks decent in that picture, I'm gonna hoard it.

Your 700 x 700 lo pro looks like it has worked a treat
-
• #42717
Thats because it was designed to be 700c front.
-
• #42718
It's because it's designed to be 700x700, unfortunately if you start messing with geo putting different sized wheels in it ends up looking like the gross thing on the last page. Did you have your heart set on steel? If not, look at the mielec thread on here. They'll build you anything you want out of aluminium for peanuts.

Excuse me for readers wive. Not exactly slave, but since you were talking about the Colossi Rambler Pursuit:
I'm thinking about selling the frame, @Graham_Edin, since it might be a tad small after all. It's size 'L', ST (CTT) 58cm, TT 55cm (according to their website). Bought from Goldsprint.de in Germany, I myself am based in The Netherlands.
