Stop being such a mealy mouthed apologist for the abolition of international football just because players get injured on international duty. So lovren got injured, get over it.
World Cup, European championships, copa America, African cup of nations. Those are trophies players want to win and they come so seldom they should have every opportunity.

Oh good, Lovren is injured on international duty.
I won't complain, as it's what you get if you sign international standard players, but if I was running a club, I'd be looking at ways to contractually require players to retire from international football.
