is it any good? any other coffee you would suggest from them?
Haven't tried it personally. A light roast Yirgacheffe will be hard to ruin though.

Konga is good, a bit more floral than naturals would be.
If you're into naturals at the moment, I'd say try Panama Los Lajones. -

We had some at home, but I finished it this morning :)

Just dropped £12 on a bag of El Salvadorian Roxanita Chalatenago from Square Mile. Looked great in the aeropress and tasted excellent. Used four scoops to try and make 2 cups but there wasn't much coffee after I pressed it. Filled it with water above the number four but it was hard to stir it all up. Any ideas how to get a bit more liquid out? Less coffee more water perhaps...

Invent a bigger aeropress?
Brew twice?
Buy a huge v60?

If you're using the inverted method with the supplied scooper then you're using way too much coffee.

1.5 scoops per cup here, 1 minute brew time.
One cup at a time.
Always open to experimentation though. -

Hasbean have one: http://www.hasbean.co.uk/collections/africa/products/ethiopia-yirgacheffe-konga-sedie-natural
Also Notes had one a while back and I think it was probably the best filter coffee I have ever drunk. Not sure if they still have it. It was not cheap.

Aeropress is best for one <250ml cup of coffee. I don't know how much coffee a 'scoop' is but you only want 15-17g per 220-250ml. (17g of ground coffee dumped into the Aeropress is about an inch high, 240ml water on top takes it to near the top so you have to stir real carefully).
You might find some little £15 scales will save you money in the long run!

But then you have to be one of those people who makes coffee with scales. As someone who makes coffee with scales I can tell you that this is a large albatross hanging around your neck. It is also a jobstopper like hand tattoos.

I have definitely had better results doing one cup at a time in the past so that's what I'll stick to. Will try the methods listed and report back.

There is some water retention by the coffee grounds (something like 2.2g/g coffee I think, but I can't remember off the top of my head) so I imagine trying less coffee? The aeropress is usually only good for one cup for me though, at a precarious push I can fit around 240g water...

Is there such thing as coffee rage?
A friend is a taster for a new coffee cooker but after a chat he uses tap water in a french press or perculator? No measuring of coffee or anything. Is it right that I feel annoyed by this.

None of this makes sense. Stop trying so hard.
