Like a Narrow-Wide, but offset by one tooth.
Assuming you don't have any half-links in your chain and you have a chainring with an even number of teeth, it's guaranteed that every other tooth will meet outer plates, so those teeth can be wider. Helps keep the chain lined up properly on a 1xMany drivetrain.
