our touch rugby social starts again this evening in Regents Park..
PM me if you want details.. Some FAQsWhat is it?
A weekly get together on Tuesdays in the park (weather permitting) with friends, btw we started this in 2003 and since then hosted one day tournaments across the home counties. What does it cost?
Its free to join, each week we play til sundown, then Edinburgh Castle pub afterwards. If we enter a team in the summer sevens competition, we’ll need to consider kit, food, slush fund costs.I've never played before is it complicated?
Rules are simple, best explained in the parkMy fitness level is low, will I struggle?
That’s what winter is for to rest and recuperate right, see it as an opportunityI can’t commit every Tuesday is that a problem?
No problem, if you are new to the sport, it is worth attending regularly just to get used to playing in a teamPhysical impact, will it hurt?
There are no crunching tackles.. this is a non-contact, running/passing game. Tempo increases throughout the season as games get longer. Can Girls play?
Yes, in fact competition rules ask for one girl per team minimum during matches, girls also get two points for scoring tries. This rule is intended to make the game more inclusive and less aggressive. Can I bring friends/housemates?
It’s an open invitation, studded boots are advised as we play on grass. How much is a round of drinks, afterwards?

No this is a regular weekly get together every Tuesday, it just so happens that it started today and will run until the end of August.. With a tournament and tramp beers in the park..

Last game of the season today. Beat the league winners which I think logic should say we win the league but, oh no, there's a "structure" to it. Played 60 min at second row, prop in front of me said he wished I'd stayed on. Which is nice.

Stephen Ferris retires through injury. Fuck. Gutted for him and for me. He's worked fucking hard to come back from an ankle injury that seemingly just won't go away.
Article with a picture of the injured ankle, not pretty so linking

Ffffffuuuuu........
What a player, would be straight into a Lions team right now, even with the GB&I depth at blindside. Real shame.

Not followed the progress and development of the team for the last six months so not sure on form for either side. Should be a passionate affair though as always. I am actually looking forward to this tourney a little more than usual because of my self imposed ignorance of the international scene- have no idea what could/should happen so excited to find out through the matches.

BBC's Game of Thrones style six nations opener is quite cool
2 tries in 20 minutes at Murryfield ... what ?!
