The thing that lists things that we have ignored only lists forums, not people or threads. Just in case I suddenly develop an interest in leather shoes, how would I go about finding that thread again?
-
• #5203
It should list everything.
Hmm... I shall need to ignore stuff to test this.
-
• #5204
Works fine for me.

I see conversations, forums and profiles ignored on the https://www.lfgss.com/ignored/ page.
It should order these:
- Forums
- Profiles
- Conversations
- Events
And each type should be in title order.
Have you ignored so much that there are 25 things on the page? Did I forget to add pagination?

Realises Opera 10 was released in 2009
Opera is a compulsive liar. The actual part of the user-agent that declares the version is the Version bit... 12.17
But then, even IE lies.
Firefox is the only half-truthful UA string.

I see 25 items on that page, all forums. I've also ignored a lot of threads and one person; they don't show up. No need to use the @ reply function, thank you very much.

Sounds like your other ignored things are on the next page, but vb hasn't put the buttons in to go to the next page (or you've not looked for it?)...
Anyway I came here to thank you for this:

Then I must have the pagination wrong on that page.
The control is there, so I'm not populating it correctly. I'll test it and fix tomorrow.
You can unignore by visiting an item directly, so if you need to do that before the fix then find it without being signed in and then sign in and load that page... unignore will be available to you.

^ That was in reply to @WillMelling

I am tempted by some brogues, a bit of posh food and some selvedge jeans so I might just do that. Thanks.

I don't get it!?
You can unignore something by directly visiting the page.
If you can't, then that's also an issue... let me know.

IIRC @WillMelling hates to be @ mentioned?

I'm pretty sure he meant the post '^ That was in reply to WillMelling' (@ removed because Will wants to go to bed).

I find it easier to find an ignored thread via an external search engine.

^^ Ah, I only did that because he asked not to be "in reply to", and yet Khornight2 posted prior to my response... which made my post read like it was a reply to Khornight2.
I'll just stick to the reply button.

That won't work for anything that Google doesn't have permission for.
And... really? If you haven't used the search function recently the default options have changed enough that I'm surprised an external search would be either faster or more effective.

True, I didn't think of that because I don't think I've ever ignored anything that Google or other search engines don't have permission to crawl.
And... really? If you haven't used the search function recently the default options have changed enough that I'm surprised an external search would be either faster or more effective.
The search function is a joy to use (and I've used it a lot recently), the recourse to an external search engine is just to avoid signing out and then in again. I obviously use the internal search for anything I haven't got on ignore.

And, erm, obviously I'd now do it via the 'Ignored' page. :)
-
• #5222
which made my post read like it was a reply to Khornight2.

Who did @WillMelling ignore?
-
• #5224
Might just change to @user6745. It's catchy.
