Believe me it's not overkill.
That bolt prevent the entire front end of your bike to disappear, fork, wheel, part of headset, handlebar, probably £200 worth (if it's a carbon fork).
yeah true... but as with all these things if someone wants to nick it, they only have to pop over the road to a hardware shop and buy a Torx key.
good deterrent for opportunists though.
They would try and nick the easiest bike to break through, rather than going to a shop and get that keys.
Quite like the Allen bolt with the Middle filled in, pretty uncommon to find a key for that.
