Pleasant commute in this morning, only undertaken twice leading to both cyclists having to stopped due to the left turning vehicle.

Bit of a mare this morning, cold, tired and late. Got on the MTB and realised I forgot my shorts so was simply in the bib shorts.

What the fuck going on today? National drive a car day?

trains are shit but it's better than doing yourself permanent damage.
Why didn't any of you jokers warn me about salads? I mean, I spent a few days last week banging about on a bike for zero discomfort, but one evening chopping vegetables to feed myself for the next few days and I'm still in agony this morning. Need more informative friends.

I saw a cyclist signal and then safely overtake other cyclists on the CS3 this morning. It was like watching a unicorn give birth to a baby sphinx ie rare and unbelievable.

single speed, brkls caning it down eversholt street this morning. stopping techniques included riding on the pavement, the sticking of the foot on the ground and jumping lights. amaze.

proto-HHSB. Chopped risers and velocity deep v's.

That's mighty stupid.

curiously enough, foot retention would have made it even more of a deathtrap.

I'm guessing he was on his way to pick up a break or two.

Yesterday I saw a bloke apparently riding brkls geared in Bristol, but as he had a pair of new chromoplastics on his back I assume he was in the process of a build.
Still, brakes before mudguards you specialton.

Wished I'd pack my rain jacket for tonight's commute, Autumn is here.

Not looking forward to the ride home tonight.

Double bonus "old jacket find" yesterday. Going through a jacket I haven't worn for over a year I found both some long lost sunglasses and a pair of defeet gloves. The gloves reemergence was perfect timing for the first chilly commute of the year this mornring. Looks like I might not need the sunnies for some time though.

Aww, balls didn't even think of overshoes...

Witnessed a gentleman on a road bike in socks and Birkenstocks (Berk-in-socks?) painfully wedged half an inch into his toe clips and straps.

gloves were out this morning

No gloves. #breakingmyownrules
The Gore pair I was wearing on Saturday had almost fallen to pieces by the end of the day.

I know rule no. 9 has a certain romantic resonance, but the reality of pulling open your curtains to be greeted by trees doing the funky chicken in a howling gale with horizontal rain slamming down....well horizontally all in the pitch black at 7am...well for once I decided that discretion was the greater part of valour: the weather simply didn't look safe enough to ride in, although I did, to the train station at least.

Hmm, commute this morning was so benign I can't even remember it.
At least this evenings commute will be different, have to swing via Kings Cross DPD depot because the Saturday delivery I paid for never materialised. I guess I'll see if my bag can fit an entire groupset, plus bars and todays clothes. Will look like a turtle.
Absolute dick no-brake hero riding through Tooting Bec, not seeing the car ahead that was indicating left. Dear boy, had you been looking where you were going, or actually been able to control your speed, you wouldn't have had to have taken the corner with car and then ridden around the front of the car to continue on your path (to impending doom, by the looks of it).
