My 2014 Privateers
- squeak
- are surprisingly bulky around the heel and rub on my cranks
- have really poor fabric finishing vs Sidis (see photo below)
- have annoying buckles that stick closed
- need tightening up 10 miles into a ride
- generally don't fit anywhere as nicely as Sidis
These have done <1200 dry miles. Pathetic.

How come / where are they deficient? Laterally compliant and verticaly stiff?
