Ti meant Team Issue, not Titanium.
-
• #3
Then I guess it's way overpriced too?
-
• #4
... dimensions?
-
• #5
It's not overpriced its a Team issue and its a piece of british history from the 1970s
There's one in Holland for sale for £1200! -
• #6
I think TI actually stands for Tube Investments, which was Raleigh's parent company. Hence the TI Raleigh team. It's a nice frame though, an Ilkeston special. Presumably the tube material is on the sticker on the seat tube? GLWS.

• #7
EDIT: whatever
-
• #8
Bit harsh. Assuming it's 753 (as a team issue) then £400+ is fair.
-
• #9
Title is misleading. Needs changing. Or deleting and reposting. LFGSS is usually better than this.
-
• #10
Right! My bad. Don't know how much these Ti frames usually go for
-
• #11
Definitely a Reynolds frame. The TI sticker is also on my Carlton (but that's not a Reynolds frame, albeit it rides beautifully [every bike has its own purpose I guess]) and yes it means Tube Investments and they made tubes for frames but not as light as Reynolds.

What's the serial? I'm 99% certain it'll be 753. Knock £100 off and it's reasonably priced.
Retrobike might give it (and you) more love, tbh. -
• #13
some answers to your questions
yes it is Reynolds 753
top tube centre to centre 57cm
i have no idea to what these go for
as i said i am selling for a friend and he asked a favour
also tried editing and you cant edit title -
• #14
I suggest posting an ad on retrobike. They're a bit more 'spendy' over there. Close this one before you do or suffer the wrath of the forum police (I'm a PCSO).

cheers done!

Tough crowd over there
I have been asked to sell these by my friend an ex racer who can no longer ride due to ill healthin only trying to get a decent price
Looks like ebay might treat me better -
• #17
very possible--until the "buyers" refuses the sale cos there is a broken spoke or likewise.
I like the frame btw. Like you, have no idea on its correct price.
I can say that on your Colnago frames you are optimistic on this forum. Suggest you go to the Bay--and even there your prices will not be easy to achieve.
You may need to speak to your friend on his/her pricing expectations
good luck.

Also as stated often here, this is not a forum where you sell to make money. It's where you sell to like-minded people to either recoup your loss or make a small loss (at times even substantial) to get rid of something.
Definitely not to make money. -
• #19
It's fair to say no one is making money here
My friend has unfortunately been told he will not be able to ride again
He just wants a fair price for things that are no longer made or available
And offer them at a fair price to people who appreciate them -
• #20
We have decided to put them on eBay and whatever they get they get
Shame that this environment can't or won't buy such beauties -
• #21
what is the frame number out of interest ?
-
• #22
pretty frame, got any pics of the dropouts?
-
• #23
-
• #24
To be fair, lots of people have been friendly here and retrobike and you've not been willing to move on the price. You would have possibly sold it for around £400. I'm interested to see how it does on eBay, just make sure you've said you'll ship worldwide to help the price.
I hope you get the price you want but I don't see it happening, personally.
