Its likely that once your deposits down you just go into the queue until its time for your frame to be built (assuming this is custom)
which is very common for framebuilders

I understand, but it should be also their job to fucking inform you...that you are inthe row or somerthing like that...i still got not a Order ID or something that says that i purchased 530€!!!
The guys from Poland, informed you every single step, and that for less than the quarter of 1000€.Real Customer Service!! -

Italians company in light touch communication shocker.

Lol. They're probably having a really long lunch, watching football, arguing whilst gesticulating wildly and prepping for their next appearance in a Dolmio advert.

Hi,
I am irregularly surfing on the forum for a few years and now have a good reason to join a discussion. I am exactly in the same situation as ulooking, and I understand that he is getting pissed.
I ordered a Pelizzoli frame about 10 weeks ago. Delivery time for that frame is 8 weeks according to the documentation they sent. Communication was great until I paid the deposit (500 Euros). Things went pretty wrong from that date. After I asked twice, they finally confirmed that my money arrived and promised an “order confirmation” for the next day, which I never received. In the same emails I asked which headset they would recommend for the frame I ordered, they never replied. I asked them about delivery time, no reply. Since I have seen that customers usually receive photos of their frame in production (not my case) I began to worry about a major delay. Now I really feel upset by this lack of communication. I have no major problem with delays and I can understand that people are busy, but it is a matter of respect for the customer to at least keep her/him informed. What I really find the most disappointing is that before getting the money they are very fast to reply. I can’t believe that they suddenly became extremely busy just after having received my order. Once they get your money they just do not care anymore.
One week ago, tired of not getting any reply, I sent them an email a bit more strident explaining my point of view and asking again for an answer to my very basic questions (headset/delivery time). The lady who is "communicating" with customers told me that she was at a party (email sent by iphone) and would reply the next day. She never did... Maybe she is still dancing.
I sent an email yesterday asking for my money back arguing that I have no guarantee to receive that bike one day. Will see what will happen, but whatever happens I will never order a bike with them again.
Cheers

the customer service is worse! quality of the frames too
waited over 1 month for an answer! quality of the paintjob is really bad for that price.
i ordered 2 frames (both took 7 months, not 8 weeks), both had serious paintjob flaws and needed to send back to italy
i think they built good frames 2-3 years ago but now having real quality problems due to increased orders.now i am trying another italien framebuilder, hopefully he is better and like i am expecting

Mine took 4 months for standard Legenda . It was ok with me. You must be very patient. The have told me they moved to a new workshop and maybe this is the reason for delay in communication,

Short update.
I finally got my frame after about 5 months ½ (instead of 8 weeks), and very poor communication. Positive: frame was extremely well packed, and the bike looks quite beautiful (not fully built as yet, I am waiting components). Negative: the left rear dropout was too small to accommodate the wheel axle (9.30 mm, axle 10 mm), so I had to file the drop out to be able to install the wheel. Poor quality control apparently. Will see how the bike behaves when built. By the way they also told me that they moved to another location (hence all the delays), but the photo of the bike they sent me was taken exactly at the same place as all the Pelizzoli frames I have seen on the net for months… -

This is why I fear the 'custom' option.

After 1 month of wait and an email with the same mood as ProfChallenger sent, Simona replied, telling that they are still moving to another place. Pff..
Considering the delays, frame/ paint quality could it be that they don't make them anymore in Italy (fatto a mano), but order them from China? -

I don't think the frames are now made in China. It is a small family business and the father was the frame builder. He is getting old, and it seems that the sons are now welding/painting, with apparently less expertise.
I do not have much problems waiting a few months for a hand made frame, but I would expect the company telling me the truth about the delays, and replying to my emails the same way they replied before I paid. That is the most annoying thing to me. You paid, so wait and keep your mouth shut.
Looking very very close, there are some minor paint job flaws, but nothing really bad.
Here is a photo of the bike, just built this afternoon. First test ride tomorrow :-)
Cheers

first i was told they moving to a nother location.....then he told me HIS FATHER GOT CANCER!
A fucking idiot....
i dont belive any shit this italian spaghetti sucker is telling me...

Calm down ;-) I am sure you will get your frame at the end of this very painful process.
Once I received the geometry and agreed on it, it took about another month to have the frame ready. I never received any photo during the welding process (I know some customers got pictures of that in the past). If you asked for a custom paint job, then you will probably have to wait longer.
Anyway, anyone thinking to order a Pelizzoli should be aware of all of this!

Oh and reported for racism...
Hy
im ordered a Frame from Pelizzoli...
Already payed half of the Money....
Since that the communictaion is very low..it took 10 days to get a confirmation for my payment...
...still got no Order ID ,the measure color,etc.... still not clear....
Does anyone had bad expirience like this with Pelizzoli..
Before the Order the Communication was so prompt,,,answering email in a hour or less....now i feel kind ripped off
