• Came in on the fixed today after a few weeks using the MTB. Whoever says using a 13kg MTB will not help make you stronger cyclist is wrong. I practically flew in today on my 6kg Mash.

  • It will make you fitter. The 13kg won't make you fitter though, just the 'riding a bike' bit.

  • Well, the difference is actually only 7kg, maybe the combined weight of a full bidon, a sturdy lock and a decent lunch, but how does that work then? Not even uphill?

  • Surely riding a bike with smaller wheels means more work over same distance so regardless of weight that would be a benefit?
