anyone knows why the lugs are stamped Cinelli?

sure, just thought cinelli and columbus are basically the same thing, so I was wondering why they stamped them with cinelli logos instead of leaving them plain for other frame builders ;)

did you paint over the cxps or is that leccy tape?

On the historical side, these frames where commissioned by the FCI (federazione ciclistica italiana) directly to Somec, hence the unique paintjob. Around 10 of them were made like this.

Cinelli investment cast lugs from the 1980s. This version has shorter points, which became more popular in that decade.

Thanks! Yes at the end I relaced the rim to a Gipiemme hub, I still have the DA7600, that I'll probably use on the Moser at some point...
The bars are Cinelli LA84!

That is another frame ;) slightly smaller than mine, but from the same "batch"
The frames were picked up originally in a group of 8 or 9.

I still ride mine with joy :)
