I've had a Titanium (mostly) eco drive for about 13 years. It needed its internals completely replacing after about 8 years at a cost of £100 (for a £200) watch. It developed a glitch whereby it occasionally, spuriously flipped into alarm mode so I looked at it only to see the hands spinning back to the alarm time. I've had no problems with it stopping though so I can certainly endorse the eco-drive system and on a simple watch like that I think it would be good.

In CB's (partial) defence, they do have one nice watch (the rest are shite tho')... Their NATO Field watch is pretty nice, here's the black PVD version...

Doing what? It hasn't changed since the last one I put up... ;P

You can see where I dinged the bezel at 28mins...

Looks so much worse with the alloy bezel! Prize it off with the little screwdriver they provided, use a bit of vodka and/or a hairdrier to soften the adhesive if necessary and bosh, easy.
The ceramic insert will improve that watch ten fold!! -

So much this.
I've offered to change it for him...
In other news, i should be getting discount information on Black Bays, Pelagos and Rolex Explorers in the next week or so. The more I look at the explorer, the more i want one.

I'm gonna have a crack at it myself, Tim... I'm sure it'll be fine, tho' I'll probably put it on wonky...
Let me know if you can get a cheap Rolex Sub... ;)

Yeah, it's not difficult to do but you should definitely do it ASAP. Ceramic is so much nicer.
To make it even easier, you can use silicone spray (not any other oil based lubricants!) and spray it on and under the bezel. Keep rotating / spraying and eventually it should slide the insert right out. The spray has accelerants in it which will dissolve the glue holding the bezel in place.
Just make sure you clean it out with water before sticking on the new bezel!

The best industry discount I could find on a Rollie was 25%, which is basically just VAT and a bit. I'm not sure they give out discounts that freely. Good luck though!
-

25% is better than 0%.
Mine will be through their media agency. If it's anything like the Swatch group (inc. Omega), on some watches, they give a discount of up to 45%.

I really like the smaller Nomos watches. There are a couple around the 33-34mm range.
Thanks for that, and @Tenderloin too. Had a good look around and ended up going with a Max Bill on a mesh bracelet for cheapz from Germany. Who knew half-remembered high-school German was worth 20% on a new watch?

It's not where you buy them that makes them exclusive, it's the price. You silly boy.

Anyone interested in this Swatch?

Bought for me as a gift but I've only worn it twice. Apparently it's unisex but I'd say it suits a female more.
No idea of swatch pricing, so £20 posted? Think I still have the box and papers that came with it somewhere.

Keep looking at this...messaged him an offer.
Well since I brought my old watch to the watchmaker and he pronounced it dead (the dial had shifted, blocking the tiny hands) I'm looking for a new one.
Not expensive, simple and classic look. Black.
Ive stumbled across a Citizen, no. BM8476-23EE
Any experience with these kind of watches here?
