I've had a Titanium (mostly) eco drive for about 13 years. It needed its internals completely replacing after about 8 years at a cost of £100 (for a £200) watch. It developed a glitch whereby it occasionally, spuriously flipped into alarm mode so I looked at it only to see the hands spinning back to the alarm time. I've had no problems with it stopping though so I can certainly endorse the eco-drive system and on a simple watch like that I think it would be good.
