  • so much for "unable to process your request"

  • is it the welt or the leather surrounding the foot?

  • Unfortunately it's just above the welt.
    Will try posting pic again.

  • no, it's not playing

  • Use external hosting?

Also, do I have to replace the whole heel, or can I get a corner of harder rubber put on?

  • New heel I'd say, shouldn't be too expensive. Don't let it go much further though, our you'll be needing a full re-sole

  • Right, is it working yet?
Sorry for multiple posts yesterday, and crappy iPhone picture. I hope you get the general idea of where the leather is beginning to go.

  • I'm selling my dark brown ('burnished espresso') size 10 Tricker's Burford boots for £120 including postage. That's less than a third of the price of a new pair.

Two and a half years ago I wrongly bought 10s when I'm actually a size 9.5, and as they've softened up it's become obvious that they're a bit too big, especially as the 4497 last they're made on is quite roomy to start with. I'd say they'd fit a large 10 or a 10.5. Width/fitting 5, the Tricker's standard. They've obviously had some wear but the there's loads of life left in the double leather soles. They're well nice, gutted I have to start again wearing in a new pair.

Shoe bags and a brand new box included. PM if interested, Thanks!

  • This is my new pair. I sized down to a 9 for these and had the immensely helpful, knowledgeable and skilled Richard at Shoe Healer put a commando sole on.

  • Good move. Shame i'm a 8.5

  • Lovely shoes and a great price. If they were my size I'd be snapping them up.

  • great boots, at a really great price, shame I'm a 8 in Trickers....

  • and on another note, I haz started a new job at a cobblers, the guys do great re-soles.......hopefully, I will soon.

  • The heel will have to be ground down and packed, then re-heeled, about 20 quid, for a Dianite or commando unit.

  • Yeah, commando. Cheers chaps. Is there something that can be done to prevent the replacement from wearing like that so quickly?

  • Don't wear 'em.

  • You can get metal heel taps but they'll clink when you walk. Perhaps the particular rubber of those soles is not all that durable?

  • Nice boots, SP, doing my best not to PM you...

If I do, I'm dyeing the fuckers black...

  • Wore these on Saturday night...forgot how much I love them!

    Barker Newport, if you're bothered....

  • Joe what's the deal with everything needing to be black? Are you not tired of that yet?

  • Also if anyone wants to tried them on first they're welcome to pop round.

  • I've regressed to the 14 year old me... Feels good...

  • Have you considered walking training?

  • Maybe a shoe fit. Or yoga

  • Cool - where are you guys based? I've just gone through the leather sole on a pair of my Loakes and need them re-soled. Would it be best to come to you, or ship them off to Loake who do a complete re-soling and re-finishing of the upper for £65 all in?
