  • Sagan saw an attractive spectator at 12km to go and rolled in 43rd with a grin on his face.

  • Great win. I thought for a second he'd sat up too soon but the camera tends to deceive.

Massive respect for Gilbert trying to pull him back.

Only Lombardia and Paris-Tours left now. Booooooo.

  • I can't believe Kwiatkowski has escaped criticism on here for those shorts.

    Rapha they ain't.

  • Surely the big question is whether he will go for the matching white bibs next season?

  • Ha, those baggy leg grippers probably cost him a few watts from the wind break effect.

  • Surely being WC should give him amnesty?

  • yep, he really fought for it, but stage 6 was a really hard hit.
Hope he'll be luckier at the Worlds!

from the ToB thread, I definitely felt it! And consider that he said that he wasn't counting on winning it!
    Top guy, well deserved!

  • Wasn't criticising Sagan as much as asking where he was, didn't see him all race.

  • Surely being WC should give him the curse of the Rainbow Jersey?

    Fixed.

  • For a little while Sagan was in the chasing group along with the main field. At least he was until just after Tony Martin got caught and spat out the back.

  • New Sky riders announced:

Team Sky has signed five new riders for the 2015 season – Andrew Fenn, Leopold König, Lars Petter Nordhaug, Wout Poels and Nicolas Roche.

  • ^ meh,

  • Knickerless Roach or Neekola Rosh?

    You decide.

  • Poels to take on a new job as B or C locomotive on the train. König will be A?

  • Who's leaving Sky, apart from Boasson-Hagen?

  • JTL will be off the rota for one.

  • I think quite a few riders are at the end of their contracts, the likes of Dombrowski, Bothwell, Sutton, Cataldo and Wiggins.

  • I'm running out of time to win those stripes. I blame Brailsford.

  • Isn't there a rumour of Wiggo leading some type of Sky affiliated development team next year?

  • Wiggins leaving after P-R I think.

They still look woefully short of one day riders considering the amount of resources available. I know that's not a priority, but it does mean they risk ending the season with very little to show if the grand tours don't go their way.

  • Heyyy Nico! Awesome.
