  • Any suggestions for healthy stuff to snack on? Mainly for when I'm bored in the office and would normally reach for a bag of crisps or something?

Also, on a separate note, Tabata training, does it work for weight loss? Seems a bit too good to be true.

  • If you're doing it properly I can't see how it would be very useful - you're fucked afterwards and have only burned a few calories in the brief time you're sprinting. Longer, tempo rides would burn far more calories (but obviously take longer).

  • I've been hitting the pistachios, they're tasty enough that it's still enjoyable. Plenty protein too. I think nuts can be quite fatty but at least it's not all processed

  • I'm all about the dried mango for a mid-morning snack. Tesco make teeny tiny portion bags (3 for £2) of them which keeps you from wolfing down too much. Quite a lot of natural sugar but fine if you only have one a day I reckon. Tesco also sell snack portions of salt and peppered mixed nuts which are like CRACK but again only in a wee little box so you can't go crazy and overindulge.

Obviously it would be cheaper to buy in bulk and make the portion packs myself but ain't nobody got time for that...
