I have a 1977 Peugeot PX45 'Routiere Dames' Mixte in turquoise blue going spare.Nice honest little bike, since it is 38 years old, it has been around the block a few times but it still works well. A couple of scuffs and surface rust spots but nothing terminal. Singlespeed conversion to 46x18 so ideal for the city.
It started its life as a PX45 'Routiere Grand Luxe 5 vitesses' as originally a 5 speeds at the rear with chrome mudguards, rear rack and dynamo.
It has been converted to singlespeed and mudguards/rack/dymano/derailleur have been removed so it is now a 'HA25 Routiere Dame Monovitesse' since all the ladies frames were the same at the time.
~~It is a 52cm on 650B wheels so sits lower than 700c wheels. These only came in 'one size fits all' at the time. The projected top tube is 54cm but the stem is only 50mm and the bars are swept back.
It will fit a lucky lady between 5ft2 (156cm) and 5ft6 (167cm).
I have fitted new brake pads and front brake cable, new inner tubes, new KMC chain, new 18T Atom freewheel, new grips and upgraded the saddle to a more modern Peugeot one. I have also changed one brake lever as the original one was broken. The tyres will have to be changed in the next 6 months as the sidewalls have started craking (although they show no wear). They are only £8.99 a pop on CRC
I am after £120 SOOOOOOOLD for the complete bike. Payment in euros / Paypal also acceptable.
Test rides obviously welcome in Brixton or Putney.
Cheers
Vince ~~
