  • Anyone riding 32c on 13mm rims? Lots of places give a conservative no to doing that and say 28c is biggest you should go but some say modern rims are good for 3x internal rim width(38-39c on 13mm). But yeah thinking of 33c planet x uncle johns to go on my new pompino.

  • You've probably seen the table Sheldon quotes: 25mm, although he notes the numbers are "conservative".

    Tester's table is, if I remember correctly, based on the table Sheldon uses but gives optimum (rather than safe) combinations: 23mm.

    Even if it does work for you, it'll ride like a pig.

    I'm going to build it up with some 23c ones I have about for now as everything arrives tomorrow and thursday I'm off to spain for a few days but I'm really wanting something chunky with a bit less air needed as it's easier to commute on and all that, riding like a pig would be the lack of stopping power in the wet...
