  • Will you be cleaning up the dirty floor and the bad cloning around the front wheel in post too? Maybe you can remove some of the glare on the tubing and the spacers too. ;)

  • fantastic!

purely aesthetically speaking gumwalls are too much imo. black 4000S's would suit better I think.

  • No.

    Gumwalls. Always gumwalls.

  • Thats a bit unnecessary. I don't pretend to be a professional, I'm a student. It was a shoot I did for free, in an hour with 5 minutes editing so that Hoops can show people who are interested his new bike.

  • Did you not see the windy smiley face I used?

  • Jokes don't come across well in text I'm afraid. Still, the thread's about the bike ;)

  • It's about the bike, but there's certainly room to appreciate all those that helped - which you did, for free, on your day off.

I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of the photographs.

  • As the owner of the disembodied hand in the photo, I have to take the blame for the misaligned valve on the front wheel. I'm afraid as a typical cyclist, I don't possess the upper body strength required to hold a bike properly steady... @PhilDAS did an amazing job of the photos with very limited time & has had even more limited photoshopping time what with people wanting to see photos in a hurry. The finished + close up shots are going to be great.

What does it weigh? Felt ridiculously light for a steel bike.

  • I also think black tyres might suit better, hard to say, maybe one of the experts up thread can photo chop, otherwise I'll happily TM paint edit it.

  • Matt's guess was 7kg when we spoke last week.
    So good. Well done all.

  • Bike looks ace. Proportions are spot on. It's also one of those bikes that looks very rideable - not just pretty. top work.

Also, if you need some retouching, I'd be happy to help. Just drop me the raw files...

  • Saw this in the flesh yesterday - gorgeous.. and the paint job is pretty restrained for a @Hoops one :)

  • Looking forward to the close ups.

  • So rad, congrats all!

  • Glad Ya'll like it. I'm not getting involved with any of this photography argument. It was nothing to do with me! All I know is that @philDAS has done a great job in a very short space of time. Matt really wanted some studio shots of this to use for the website, And I think they look pretty good. Arguing about valve alignment is a bit retarded in my opinion!

The stem will be slammed down next week. We thought it would be best to leave a few spacers in there to begin with to ensure the fit is good, which it is.

I was going to get one of those fancy garmin out front mounts that bolts to the stem, but After riding this yesterday and today with no garmin, I think I'm gonna leave it that way. This bike is all about gettting out with freinds and riding and hving fun. Not average speeds and segment PR's.

  • I wish I had friends ..

For now Garmin + Flyby will have to do ..

  • Is that because you can't climb hills any more?

  • LOLOLOL!
Being good at climbing is sooooooo 2011. (which is when I was last any good at it!)

  • Oh, and @philDAS just sent through a load of AWESOME photos. Unfortunately I dont have time to look through them all right now!

  • Too much glare. I'd send the bike back.

  • Lovely!

  • Don't be too hasty. It can be fixed in post! Phil has taken some nice shots of it. I think we need to see some shots of it outside, so we can see that paint in all it's glory.

The close ups are great though. Dat ass...

(there are some greasy fingerprints on the NDS chainstay though)

    #constructivecriticismnotadig

  • looks better and better! does Phil want his whole flikr stream shared though?

  • The stem is very, very good.
