Whoa. Horrible

Ive seen a fair few videos of cyclists getting hit, really nasty but id consider myself a pretty careful cyclist partially because of them, they do make you think.

"without a helmet"
lol. -

That site is full of horrible accidents.
I believe everyone who uses the road should watch at least one of them, and think about it before you decide that you're in a hurry or too busy to pay attention.

Doubt it mate, not even with a motorcycle helmet.ive seen pictures of a few road accidents in India. People who get run over by buses/trucks get turned into PASTE. The only thing a helmet might do is provide a nice polystyrene bowl to contain your brain slushie.

rbh0riz0n, your helmet made of thin polysyrene that design for a gentle crash.
it won't sustain anything more than that.

Being hit by a bus going at anything more than 20 mph is pretty much certain death. I have been present at two incidents involving motorcyclists being hit by buses and sadly neither survived the impact.

Yeah the players are terrible, I'm sorry to hear that Hobo. I had a motorcycle for a while but sold it after a few close calls (never crashed as such), that and it made me incessantly lazy.

Though the cyclist appears to be paying 0 attention to the road, what really bothers me is how the driver appears to spend what seems like several seconds (probably a lot less) operating under the illusion that the horn is an adequate substitute for the brake. And this made me reflect upon how widespread this attitude is - some cyclists also seem to think that a situation that requires one to shout at peds doesn't also require brake use.

What disturbed me is they looked right at, and stopped in front of, the speeding bus. May have made it if they accelerated instead of braked.

Quite :( and surely highlighted by the Driver checking out his bus first, while casually walking to the victim.

Saw this this morning, i guess its a worst case scenario if you ride across dual carriageways without a helmet and not looking where you're going. I feel bad for her but i cant help thinking Darwin?
TL;DR: Woman cycles across huge road and stops in front of a bus.
