i sold it Pat the day after I got it, was a tad too small, rode it home and around the block the following day ,vendor used to compete on it back in the day, was real Gent, quite a rare piece though, it's in germany i think now,was a collaboration betwixt colnago and alan (appols for repeating an earlier post, groundhogish?), and i heard that alan cx's can have fork problems, the dual would also be susceptible to the same fate that befalls alans, cracked head tube lugs due to vibration, and alans are meant to be noodly, that said, i have an alan rescue project i will allow into the stable because of the colnago linage (alan also contributed to the carbitubo/monotubo models) and keep as a rat type bike, hoping to run 8 speed integrated shifters on a triompe gruppo with it, the dream cx is a lot more robust, and i've enjoyed smashing round town on it this last month, off road it's great, took it on the horse trails on wimbledon common and it just kept going, i'd didn't have to get out of the saddle until ascending, i highly recommend that particular model
