Have a mid 1990's MX-Leader Frameset. Italian threaded BB and 1' headset. Fire engine red? Stand to be corrected if you know the colour and the paint code.
Was retrenched late last year! So all this has period is Mavic GP wheels and no groupset...YET! Will get the camera out and put a few pictures up. Am open to bike parts either campag or shimano. so once I start will stick with the same manufacturer. Winter down under but would be good to be pedalling this gem by spring..a new job too! -

Track and road positions are different. On the track you ride in deep drops while on the road you are generally on the hoods and have a shallow drop on the bars. Head angles are different but seat angles tend to be the same.

Hi all. Recently got hold of a Corsa Extra (in Max - shown in Motorola colours below) - and a MX-Leader (in a unique color combo I've never seen before, except for LWZ's TT above - Pink on bottom, Midnight Blue up top. Almost looks like Weinemann, but without the green and darker blue, or Telekom, but with Blue instead of black.
The MXL came with Headset (Campag Mirage), BB (Chorus) and an aero seat post (which I think is Chorus but not that familiar with Campy stuff).
The MXL also has a strange 'F' decal on down tube, facing the back (last photo below). It is under clear coat. Does anyone know what this is? A Belgian team, perhaps?
Serial number is F3120. I think that indicates '97/97..?
Both were bought within 50 k's of eachother, close(ish) to Brussels.
Would love some suggestions as to what to build up the MXL with...have an old DA 7400 crank, DA 7400 calipers (single pivot), SKF BB (should I use this instead of Chorus BB?) and a set of Exage brakes. I think it would be better to use existing Campy parts on the bike and source some Chorus bits and bobs. I have a Chorus front derrailleur on its way, which is good.
Don't have a lot of money after these two, but I would really appreciate suggestions.

^ Wow, both are dream frames!
Bought it on ebay recently, merckx alu (not sure which model), kinesis carbo fork, DA 7700 group set.
My first road bike, like it. -

That is the one. Blue up top (think Midnight Blue it is called) and pink. Like the Telekom, but not black.
Good find. Thanks. :-) -

You're welcome!
This guy seems to have the same: http://instagram.com/p/rubHp0haS8/?modal=true(Where are you from by the way? I'm from Belgium too!)

That is the same colour. Again, nice find. :) Thanks.
I actually live in Rotterdam (& am from Melbourne, where I'll be returning in a few months, with bikes). Love Belgium (we have explored much of the country) and we try to make it down whenever we can. I'd live in Antwerpen, if I had my time again. It is amusing what a lot of Dutch have to say about Belgium. I'm sure you've heard it all.
I'd love to do a riding tour of Be., someday.
Where are you? -

No problem! Glad I could help out.
I live in a small town near Bruges at the moment, but I'm moving to Antwerp in about a month.
I love Belgium. I picked up a Corsa in Team GAN colors from 1996 today, full Campa Chorus. Pictures will follow, probably friday evening :-) -

Nice work. Would love to some photos. Team GAN is my favourite, would love one in those colours but I've never seen one for sale. Good score. Anytime you are in Rotterdam, we'll ll go for a ride.

Deal!
Been a while I've been in Rotterdam though, but maybe I can make it happen once I've moved to Antwerp.I've just noticed the bottle cages on the MXL frame you posted, nice pink details on those! Are they custom painted?

Very, very nice. Lots of Chrome (Corsas seem to have a fair bit). Very beautiful build.
If it were mine, I would change the saddle. I used to love Turbos but I am thinking yours could use something a little 'leaner'/not so chunky. Avocet 02 or a flite?
What rims are you running? -
