  • Indeed, the light out there is very conducive to slow film!

  • I like the Prenzlauer Berg shots!

  • Cheers man.
    Yea they're sort-of "old-skool" black and white.
Since that went pretty well I decided to put another b&w roll in the little Nikon, Neopan 400 this time..

  • That stuff pushes really well.

  • Cool, thanks for the tip!

  • My bro's old kitteh. Pasha.
    Mamiya 645, Ilford HP5

  • ...nice!

  • Woo, got my 4 rolls back (poundland agfa 200) from my Sardinia trip - shot using the rapidly delivered and purchased Olympus Trip from @Brucy (would rep etc.). It seems the camera does indeed work perfectly as every frame looks to be nicely exposed and in focus :). I fear I have just shot 4 rolls of fun, but very average holiday happy snaps. Haven't looked at the CD of scans yet, just the contact sheet - realised I have no way of retrieving stuff from a cd :/

Anyway, was great fun using the camera and exciting waiting to see the shots - clichéd yet true.
Once I get the files on my mac I'll post up some - probably lots involving impossibly blue and clear water, some dramatic cliffs and stray dogs.

  • What's a good, relatively cheap negative scanner that one can buy?

    ta

  • Few from a US trip.

    Define relatively cheap.
The one I use, a "QUATO IntelliScan" (same as "Plustek") is supposedly very good for the price.
It's a dedicated 35mm negative scanner. Do you want this? Or flatbed / other formats as well?

  • Few from a US trip

    ..nice light / colours!
    What camera / film?

Also picked up a Canon Ace with top down scope and remote control like this:

Need to finish the roll and see how that works too...

  • Hahaha!

    Push the red button, dear!

    Scope finder is awesome.
Actually my very first camera was a canon point & shoot like this - but mine was just called "Prima", not "Super Shot Ace"
    : D

  • went to the beach

  • Nice mood, shinkuu...

  • Hmm, good question! I'm not going to need one much, so I am wondering whether I should just stick with using a shop. I want it for medium format as well as 35mm

Actually, I just remembered that I think my Dad has one!

  • Those are lush Skinkuu!

  • Worth making larger

  • ..now it doesn't fit my screen
    :(

..couldn't help but try and flip, straighten & crop this -

  • @spotter
    Thanks..

    @tiki
    Thanks, but no thanks...!

  • The top beach shot, with the crowded line up... is that Japan? That is mental, did anyone actually catch a wave, let alone get a clean ride?

  • Yeah, it's Fujisawa

They were having a competition so it's a bit more crowded because there was an area cleared for that... but it was super crowded either way and there were hardly any waves tbh. Did not see anyone do anything but my gf said that area is pretty much just for posers anyway.

  • I've a stack of undeveloped film in the fridge and am debating whether to get it all developed with mini prints/contact sheets and buy a scanner to do something with the good ones or to just ask the shop to do it all and choose on the computer. I can get one of those plustek ones for fifty quid more than it'd cost to get the whole lot scanned... Is it worth the investment? I have a Klasse I plan to use a whole lot more...

Also weren't you tiki? Thought I had replied to the wrong person!
