  • ^ double disks, Starfish cranks, period C-Record everything else.

  • Starfish cranks, period C-Record

those two should never ever go together.

  • Neither should risers and a Lo-Pro. Who gives a shit?

they call me the #fixie #rebel

  • The black campag record pista cranks from classifieds

  • Wound ups don't exactly fit my definition of cheap, but I am tempted. Ta.

@6pt It's definitely a frame I've always had a thing for and I'm not disappointed.
@Mechamorgan I don't like decals so if I removed them how would anyone know I had Enve?

  • Debadging Enve forks is... more Enve? I say go for it, everyone can tell you're a baller from the profile anyway.

  • You managed to get the disc working?

    More info plz

  • @Brucy i have a pair of ellipses going - a brake has been used on the front

looking for £170 if you can wait till im next in london

    pm if interested

  • It has a track thread on both sides

  • They so pricey! and I prefer the older pista ones.

  • I'm getting my workshop set up and just dipping my toe into fabrication and machining. Big thing I find is the difficulty and expense of sourcing the raw material. Ususally, things like these, that I think I'll just knock up, would end up costing about 3x more in materials than I would need to pay to just buy whatever it is I'm making.

    Am I missing something?

  • buy materials in bulk.

  • I might have some for sale soon... (fluted campag pista)

  • I have a Zipp, black with white logo, 110 -17 stem with Ti torx bolts and all... I could be persuaded to let go of it. It's currently on an unused frame. The stem has only been installed for mock up purposes, otherwise brand new.

  • Start networking.
As a hobbyist (I'm assuming here) you'll never get stuff for a reasonable price; either get good fast and incorporate to take advantage of wholesale prices or get to know suppliers and find out what they do with offcuts or end-of-rolls or whatever they call them in that industry.

  • I put a front brake on the Moser, can anyone suggest a quiet road I can try this baby? RP?

  • Can we all have a try? It's such an awesome bike. Regents seems the most sensible.

  • haha, we should write down a list of the people that would like to, but how does it work if someone wreck it? :)

  • I am sorted as I won bid on exact same thing yesterday on ebay .. @T-V ?

  • You break it, you fix it... ;)

  • This is starting to come together:

Currently unconfirmed but I think its a Plum Vainqueur. No idea what the tubes are but others i've seen online would suggest columbus. Theres no markings on the dropouts or bb shell (70mm), only these Ps on the fork crown:

Ignore the seat height. Seat tube measures 27.0 at the clamp but this 27.0 post stops dead after about 3 inches. Theres quite a bit of crap in the tube so i'll try cleaning it out or get a 26.8.

I doubt the paint is original and theres quite a bit missing in places, might go for a respray or just keep it ratty for a bit.

After a bit of effort I finally got the piegas on the stem (cheers @Borek) but I might swap them over for criteriums. I'll get it rolling on these wheels first which are mavic cxp33s on miche before getting the proper wheels built. They'll be 36h novatecs on grey open pros with a 19t phil cog. Cranks are da7500.

  • 3 inches into the seat tube should be strong enough, extra long Nitto there? Either way, lots of room to trim.

  • Post is kalloy, almost went for a nitto but i'm glad I didn't now because I gouged the crap out of this one just trying to fit it. Cutting it down is an option.

Any ideas why it would jam after a few inches? The top of the tube doesn't seem flared, infact the whole frame is in really good shape except for the paint. I might just attack the seat tube with a small wire brush on a drill and some wd40.

Theres also some artefacts rattling around in the tubes, flux or a bit of rust maybe. Any solutions?

  • You should speak to @apollo I heard he's into huge yellow gates too ;)

  • haha, i think his gate is a bit bigger than my gate
