I find the grind is all over the place with my porlex, as does the review posted upthread.

Just had some Sandow Cold Brew (Costa Rica). 5/10, wouldn't drink again.
Also had coffee today at Grind- still great, Cadence, burnt, and home- Malabar goodness in cafetiere.
Best news recently is my flatmate became addicted to a) fixing up Gaggias, and b) coffee, in that order, so we have a lovely newly re-kitted out coffee machine at home- its nothing special, but its pretty awesome. -

@Buffalo_Bill, guy who used to do coffee in kinoko has set up a shop front on camberwell church st, called daily goods. Nice place. If you can make the journey.
Ps. Welcome to south land.. -

@cornelius_blackfoot Thanks! I'd like to pretend that I am proud to be a bridge monkey, but that would be a lie.

@Riffraff27 the London coffee app is well worth buying, updates regularly and you can search by proximity. Otherwise, Kaffeine is a good bet, Prufrock, any of the Workshops (my fav is Fitzrovia, but Clerkenwell has a great food menu too), Mother's Milk & either of the Curators are also good... I'm sure I've missed many!

Looks interesting, might be another good lightweight brew option?

"Blast your brew to outer space" is a bit shit tho.

Looks like a gimmick to me, can't see it be better than a v60?

You know, that it's International Coffee Day today, right?
Ran out of my Mission Coffee Works this morning. Any recommendations what and where to get next?

Just ordered this: http://www.hasbean.co.uk/products/nicaragua-finca-limoncillo-natural-yellow-pacamara
In the cup expect mashed banana with melted, warm vanilla ice cream
with a sherry boozy edge to it all. A delicious and unique amazing
coffee.and this: http://www.hasbean.co.uk/products/el-salvador-finca-la-ilusion-natural-bourbon
In the cup the first thing that hits you is how clean this natural
really is. But you also know it's a natural; thick, creamy, strawberry
milkshake meets red velvet cake in taste and texture. There's also a
hint of spicy liquorice. You can see why this coffee is so in demand
and why it fetches a super high price, but it's special and I think
it's worth every penny.super excited about trying both. have been looking for another proper funky coffee since the jirmiwachu that square mile did ages ago.

BPA free can get to fuck too.

on the whole aeropress vs v60 thing: I am a big big fan of the v60. Aeropress is great for travel etc, but I pretty much only use my Hario for filter at the office. Very clean, clear taste.

If you are into natural processed coffee I would recommend you look into Supreme Roastworks. They only do natural coffees and roast them in their own philosophy.

Workshop coffee is my go-to at the moment. Mostly because it's close to work and they will grind it for me.

That sounds pertinent to my interests, but they don't ship coffee around do they?

Any decent places in Richmond? Currently only seeing the bleakness of chains around me.

It's bereft of coffee shops, you can try Whole Foods on the High Street.
There is a really good chocolatier near the common you might want to try and a couple of shops down there's a coffee/tea shop that sells some interesting beans and things like V60's [they don't make coffee tho] - It's Ved's neghbourhood so he may know of a 'secret' coffee place -

I'm sorry what? Natural coffee roasted in Philosophy. Logical problem, sounds fundamentally flawed.
I'm all for Porlex. love those little guys. Only downside is the burrs degrade after a while. New Porlex grinders produce grinds nearly as good as commercial filter grinders.
