I enjoyed the trailer. The film... Not so much.

The Jack reacher series is a bit rubbish - but seemingly written for a TV series. Would actually be OK TV drivel. But seriously, Tom fucking Cruise - let's use a short, clean cut, dark haired dude for the role of a trampish, blonde and extremely large character. WTF? Especially when his size is integral to the character and story. You can only suspend belief so far little tommy...

I enjoyed it as a generic, mindless action movie... Werner Herzog's character was tres hilair...

Watched Calvary the other night. Really dark stuff, the writer/director must seriously hate the catholic church. Great movie.
Then watched Starred Up last night. Brutal. What an absolute nutter that kid is! Jack O'Connell and Ben Mendelsohn are excellent. Prison is my worst nightmare. I wouldn't last a day.

Calvary and Starred Up are two of the best films I've seen this year. I loved the mixture of pathos and comedy in Calvary and I was on edge the whole way through Starred Up!
Another awesome British film I saw this year is Down Terrace. Fantastic black comedy from Ben Wheatley.

I liked Edge of Tommorrow and after seeing Jack reacher and Oblivion I was expecting it to be another recent Tom Cruise piece of nonsense. Was pleasantly surprised when it actually turned out to be very good.
Think Im gonna see The Riot Club tonight and maybe something else, haven't been to the cinema much the last few months since its been damn right shit for releases.

One of Liam Neeson's more credible films.

I'm almost finish to watch True Detective.
Truly beautifull, with Mc Conaughey and Harrelson making one of the best couple on screen.
The dialogues of Rust are very captivating, and the entire atmosphere is just gripping as fuck.
Watched with subtitles.

Versions of the film, with and without the internal dialougue, the extra few minutes of a unicorn...and no mention of electric sheep

Much, much better (which doesn't mean a lot). Some of it is very good the last 20 minutes of it not so. The kid is very good and some odd the best scenes are with him and Neeson.

Watched 20,000 Days on Earth last night. Really enjoyable and far more interesting than a straight up bio-pic. The recorded Q&A afterwards was good too, with a couple of songs and two great out-takes from Kylie Minogue and Ray Winston
Saw this last night, really enjoyed it too. Blixa Bargeld is still cool as fuck.
Jack Reacher.
bloody awful. All Tom Cruise films just exist to stoke his ego. Rosamund Pike's role was so under-written it was laughable. I read a Lee Childs book in Greece last year and it was pretty bad, this scarred ex-army giant tramp goes round America solving mysteries and shooting arabs, Tom Cruise has made it even more rubbish.
