Wow, there is really not a lot of barspin clearance there, is there.

At about the hundred mile mark on my Gangsta, during an aforementioned 200+ mile jaunt in July.

I feel for you.

I did the 100 miles mark with that fork, but with 23mm Gatorskins at 120psi.

Lesson fucking learnt.

If my drunken mind remembers correctly, I think I saw Indra do a barspin on mine. Tire clips the downtube every time you try it. 32c on mine.

that must be v2 forks. I can ride my bike in a straight line with bars turned the other way around.

Yup I could Barspin my v2 long with 38s with no touch, Sven's v2 short would only do up to 35 and yes I did manage to make Pepe's Barspin with 32 and a v1 fork but I really had to throw it.

This was 210-ish miles on 28c Randonneurs at 100psi. I had spasms in my hands, particularly thumbs for a few days afterwards but I think much of that was down to my bar/hoods setup being slightly off.
Couldn't really fault the bike itself, even outside of its normal working conditions.

100psi! you don't really need to pump it that high with 28mm tyres, only 23mm.

If you're doing long ride again, I would get some lightweight tyres and run the pressure a lots lower, touring tyres like the rando felt like shit when you run it at a lower pressure.

Appreciate the tip although if I don't be careful I'll just end up buying a touring bike or something

My gangsta V1 in monstercross mode, more fun less serious. Ordered the shorter fork from BMW, interesting to see how it works (going back to street setup with it).
