  • I hope you enjoy them. Just a few lines to explain about the frameset. Dick Morris had a shop in London when he was about 78yrs he moved to be with his son near Cambridge. By then he like me had stopped building and had got rid of all his gear. I did not come across Dick untill he was about 96yrs old, i went to see him at his home and had a great time talking with him. He said when he was about 90yrs old he thought he would spend some time cutting his last lug set out for something to do but said it would have been nice to have seen it made up. I was in between houses at the time but agreed it would be great, soon afterwards Dick had a stroke and i went and saw him in Addenbrookes Hospital and tried to encourage him by saying when you get out Dick we`ll get that lugset made up. But Dick died some time after, i went to his funeral and kept in tough with his son. His son sold me the lugset and i then got it made up. I hope i have done Dick proud, he was a truely great craftsman. I had the date stamped on the underside of the bottom bracket the day Dick died, i hope you enjoy the pictures and this small story about Dick Morris.

  • Lovely story. Beautiful lugset.

Sometimes there is no mystery, its just a man talking about his passion and giving praise where it is due #csb
