  • Does anyone have any tips for cleaning up an old knife? I've been given this who h belonged to my grandad and has a "made in Sheffield" hallmark

Also, any tips for loosening up the folding action, which at the moment is very stiff would great!

  • Put a drop of oil on the pivot and the back spring, scrub the blade with a pan scourer then sharpen it and keep it in your pocket and use it as often as you can.
Keep it's lovely patina, and with use and bit of oil the pivot and spring will free up and it will be a lovely little pocket knife.

  • Barkeeper's friend and a brillo pad used with care as to the sharp edge of the blade.
