  • Yum pink lemonade.

  • Yum - Kona Cola, Pink Lemonade, Tri Berry
Meh - Lemon and Lime, Orange
    Yuck - Lemon Tea

Given the quantity I'm getting through, I should probably stock up on the All Day versions for general use.

  • My fave is lemon and lime the rest are meh, I got one of each of the 4 flavour packs, there are none i wont drink, so far

  • @danstuff
Hah, after visiting the Wiggle link, I was literally about to post to warn others of the Tri-Berry trap. I find it absolutely foul. Not only when consuming during the day, but even when on the bike and you don't really care too much about the taste it still tastes horrendous.

Funnily enough, I love the Lemon Tea flavour. Weird.

  • Consuming during the day......

  • What? I normally have a tabs worth in the morning at work.

  • I drink loads, it's tastier than water.

  • so's cordial and it costs a lot less

  • I'll drink em in a pint of cordial sometimes...

  • 25% off code for the nuun.co.uk store is byebyesummer

So if you can't find the flavour at Wiggle, you can settle for 1/4 off instead of 1/2 off.

  • Wiggle seem to be deceiving people.

Are they really suggesting it was £11.99 per tube, and now 50% off at £5.99 per tube?

Wasn't it normally £6 per tube anyway?

Headed over to the Nuun store: http://www.nuun.co.uk/collections/shop

    And yup, £6 per tube.

So Nuun with 25% off £6 beats Wiggle and a claimed 50% off £12.

Unless I've got this wrong somehow.

  • £6 at wiggle will get you 2 tubes of nuun, rather than £12 for 2 tubes at RRP

  • Oh, I'm wrong...

You order 1 from Wiggle, and then they just ship 2. It's not reflected in the shopping cart, they just ship an extra one.

    Is that what they're doing?

  • For splitters, Ribble have BOGOF on SIS and High5 ones at the moment I think.

  • That's what I got a few weeks ago....40 tubes turned up...should last us a while....

  • Moment of inspiration this morning, you can squeeze 17g of ground coffee into an empty tube, that's my Aeropress bikepacking combo finally finished.

  • But what if you like 19g in your Aeropress?? WHAT THEN??

  • Squish a bit more in...

  • Ordered some more Nuun thanks to the BOGOF deal on Wiggle (I was ordering some other stuff anyway). Lemon + Lime works for me.

  • This thread is a bitch.
Whenever it pops up I trot off to Wiggle and spend £30 on Nuun. Like Pavlov's fucking dog.
Today I even threw a new jersey in the basket.

    It just won't do.
How do you put a thread on ignore...?

  • Gave my gf a High5 tablet the other day because she'd been unwell and our rehydration sachets were out of date. Then she asked for another the next day and again today and tonight she said she loves it and wants me to buy some more (we were using free samples from crc).

Is there any harm (other than financial) in drinking high5 or nuun etc in place of cordial etc? Probably only have one a day and would avoid caffeine containing varieties.

  • Take a look at the amount of potassium, sodium etc. and then try and figure out how much of that you get from other sources during the day and if you're not exceeding the recommended levels. Probably not too much of an issue unless you have prior kidney issues or something.

Disclaimer: not a doctor/nutritionist or such

This is what my girlfriend and I do. Usually a couple per day, and not the caffeine variants.

It's also why Nuun's branding isn't obsessively pro-sports, there's a lot of their marketing focused on general hydration. This is where they feel they're stronger.

I figure it's just less damaging overall than a can of soft drink with lunch, even when that's a Pret bottle of something. It's 99% water, you know because you prep it, and the remainder is a little flavouring and some minerals.

  • The only thing I was worried about was the citric acid, s'maybe bad for your teeth? But almost certainly better than fizzy drinks.
