  • also none of you can never ever post a single photo of your bike with an smp because it's an ugly saddle.

    Oh no!

  • it's true ed that saddle looks like a bottle opener for your balls

  • Even if they do only last 1/10th of a real one, it's still significantly cheaper to buy 10, than one real one.

  • Thanks FFF, just asked the eBay seller for a refund...

  • Wait, is 'Saddle too ugly' a valid refund reason in eBay?

  • Why did nobody told me this before?

  • By the seven Gods, it's truly is ugly!

  • And it's set @Gaston_Fr style!

  • Wait a minutes...

  • It's a fucking saddle.

  • A fucking saddle? Why didn't you tell me? I'm buying 100 of them.

  • I'm glad we got this sorted. :)

  • after reading 2 pages do you even specialized test saddle

also none of you can never ever post a single photo of your bike with an smp because it's an ugly saddle.

thirdly if they sell a copy it probably isn't the same as original (materials) so you'll end up bying chinese stuff that'll last maybe a tenth the normal smp would.

but of course, hey it's cheap so why not.

  • Mine looks gaston too. Funny as the Antares I had in before was slammed all the way back so clamped on the front of the rails. But smp is clamped near the back.

It's due to the different rail angle. As it's only 2cm further forward. But now I need inline post to make it look normal. When actually it's still like 8cm behind bb!!

  • I ordered one of the dodgy Chinese ones to see how I get on with it. Is it exactly the same as the real deal in terms of shape?

  • I had a specialized, I prefer selle SMP. The curved shape seems to suit me better.

I do cry every time I see my bike but its tears of joy. Well that's what I tell myself.

  • Selle SMP: Tear of joy.

  • Selle SMP: Tearer of ballsack

  • Ha!

A "fan" thread on saddles starts and people wade in saying "your saddle choice sucks!" Are we doing YouTube comments now? ;)

  • Hmm this is interesting. I like riding predominantly in the drops but my current saddle (which has a small groove but no cutout) is causing me some discomfort shall we say. SMP looks like it may help, if I've understood the discussion. Tempted to get a TRK to stick on the commuter for a couple of weeks as a test.

  • Just replied to this but the forum lost it. TL:DR do it, that was the exact problem I was hoping to remedy and it worked

  • Should work indeed, as I sit very forward on my track iron and no discomfort at all :)

  • If you ride predominary in the drop, the TRK might feel very wide on your upright commuter, look for the Extra instead.

  • This is the ugliest saddle ever made.

  • There's a study showing that the main reason why men choose their saddle is base on the appearance despite the discomfort.
