Does anyone have any experience with aftermarket Macbook batteries? My battery has expanded rather signficantly, so I was wondering whether to go Apple or eBay. Macbook is a late 2006 black model, but I'm not particularly fussed what colour the battery is. Any experiences and opinions would be great.

Apple all the way! It really isn't worth the risk of blowing up your computer altogether. Besides, everyone I have known who have bought non apple battery wish they hadn't... they don't last half as long...

Are you on Android? Cos the whole raison d'ĂȘtre of Android is to collect all your info and send it to Google.

Not the way we use them, BQ...

Where can I learn about that way you use them?
Not impressed with new iPhone, do consider Z3 compact that comes out in a few days, which would be my first android device..

Work will upgrade my 4S to a 5S in October. Do I port my personal number off the Moto G and onto the iPhone, or continue to run two phones?
The rationale to do this would be that there is an Android device that outperforms the 5S, and unlike my Moto G can run Chrome without constant crashes.
Suggestions?

Chrome on the iphone works fine for me.

Thanks, guess I'll just have to suck up the cost. A fair chunk of change to spend on an ancient laptop, but it still suits me nicely for home use.

My very well maintained 9 years old Powerbook G4 still work faster than a not well looked after full of crap and god knows what has been done to it 3 years old MBP with basic specs... so a brand new battery is money well spent...

GF is off to HK tomorrow.
Not sure whether to go for a MacBook Air or an iPad air. I heard the MacBook Air was due for a refresh, so wonder if there is much point? I have a laptop for work and a general one for browsing but it's pretty old/naff.
Any advice would be welcome!

A bit late on this but I got to have a go with both he 6 and 6+ today and the 6 feels perfectly sized but I sort of want the extra features and battery life of the 6+ luckily there's still a couple of weeks until I'm due an upgrade. Hoping I can talk EE into giving it to me cheaper, had good luck in the past when they were still orange.

What extra features does the 6 plus have? I thought it was just a bigger screen.

Much better camera, I know that.

I love my MacBook Air. Wife has an iPad and I hate it. I much rather a physical keyboard than touch screen. Plus the trackpad and the functions are brilliant.

Higher pixel density, optical image stabilisation, extra features in ios8 such as avatars in messages and longer battery life which is the most important thing for me.
The 6+ has up to 24 hour 3G talk time vs 14 on the 6.
I just don't think I can fit it in my pocket and it certainly won't be easy to take out quickly and snap pictures when cycling :/

Thats for sure. I dropped the S4 about 5 times in a month trying to do things on the bike before buying the 4S. Very disappointed with the size of the new phone.

Is it that much better? can't really tell much when borrowing my dad's 6 against my 5S.

6 plus has image stabilisation. That shit makes a difference.

If you want to be convinced about how great the new camera is by looking at someones mediocre photos, here's a good read: http://techcrunch.com/2014/09/18/apples-iphone-6-has-finally-convinced-me-to-ditch-my-compact-camera/?ncid=rss&cps=gravity

6 plus has image stabilisation.
I do wish it's on the 6 though, I liked the size of the 5.

The regular 6 sits perfectly in my hands, I think its the ideal size.

.
Looks nice got to give it that, but waaaay too big. Its one of the main reasons I stuck to the iphone over Android phones. No chance I could get used to it. 5S probably where my money will go next.
