The elan is a very pretty car..heathen. The type 14 is a different car (beast), supposed to handle amazingly with the fibreglass body as a stressed member of the whole..design ahead of is time. The design had a low drag which seeing as cars were designed without a wind tunnel is an amazing feat. Still a very pretty car from the time.
Thinking about racing it ;)
Is the type 14 from a kit or Lotus built?
I owned an elite, can you guess which one?

Why would you want a 912 over a 911?
If you really want a beetle in drag a Karmann Ghia looks much prettier.CTML, I probably have what you need if you can get over to Bethnal green. Got a car park you can do the swap in too. PM me.

America.
No rly.
There were very few RHD cars and not that many have ever been imported since they're not yet very valuable.
Great excuse for a holiday, you'd prolly save the cost of the trip in purchase cost.

That'll be an expensive stamp.

The 912 combined a 911 chassis / bodyshell with 4 cylinder engine (also used in the 914) to bring pricing of the 911 closer to the, at the time, outgoing 356 and was conceived as an 'entry level' 911. The obvious answer, to why would you want a 912 over a 911 is the purchase cost of a long nose. Anyway .. http://www.silverstoneauctions.com/1968-porsche-912911-outlaw
Glorious little machine
