  • One of the wifes.
    Ilford Delta 3200

  • Enjoyed this thread and decided to dig out an old Praktica that I had in the back of the cupboard. What's the best way to scan the images - the ones people post here are great quality.

  • A dedicated 35mm film scanner.
Or some other scanner capable of scanning film.

Or you give the negatives to a shop and have them do it. There are offers for developing including scans of the images.

Or you do like shinkuu does atm - stick the negatives to a window, take a picture with a digital camera, and go from there.

  • Agfa Vista 200

  • Picture with a story - a snap of graffiti on one of the last houses in Berlin's former working-district Prenzlauer Berg (now home to the bourgeoisie) that has not yet received the "gentrification-renovation" work.
Basically everybody who lives there will have to move out, as they will not be able to pay the rent once it's renovated.
I had a real good talk with a 80-year-old lady that lived on that block all her life, who approached me while taking the picture - she prays to god they'll leave her house (a bit further down the road) alone until she dies, as she would otherwise have no choice but move to pretty rough neighbourhoods far out where it's still cheap.

    Agfa APX 100 / Nikon L35AF / no post

  • And another one that is illustrating the story slightly better maybe -

  • Does anyone know of any current 120 films that are similar to Agfapan Apx 100? I know rollei films are made by agfa but none of the current range that Ive tried are very similar and the current Agfa range only seems to be available in 35mm. Basically Im looking for something with a nice "silvery" tone

    Fomapan 100

  • +1 for fomapan
    It's cheap too

  • Film n00b alert. Where can I get 120 and 35 processed and still afford to eat? Metro seems pricey, £60 for 4 rolls?

  • Eye culture in bethnal green, £2.99 a roll including scans.

  • ^But goes up to near 10 quid if you want prints I think. There is anther photo place near opposite that I use and prefer. Decent folks.

Much more like it. Cheers dude.

    Got the name?

  • 1 hour photo next to "potty people"?

  • Yeah. Not Potty People.

  • Like the shots.

That's pretty grainy - is that quick scans from the lab, or did you make them yourself?

  • thanks, I've had this problem before- Indra picked up on it. It's annoying and it has happened when different rolls of film have been developed and scanned by three different shops. Gonna try west end cameras next or see if I can use school equipment

  • Fuji Pro 400H / Yashica T3

  • Three random shots from a recent California roadtrip:
Peregrine falcon foreground/Alcatraz background - my thanks to the bird for posing there.
Yosemite forest fire, shortly before we decided the best course of action would be to get the fuck back to the car before the road got closed (although it didn't get that bad that day).
Mission Street San Francisco, just next to Gracias Madre, most excellent vegan Mexican restaurant.
    Shot on Ektar 100.

  • Yosemite forest fire

    Awesome colours.
Would love to have the opportunity to shoot Ektar in light like this..
..also what cameras is this done with?

  • Nikon N2000 / F301 from the mid 80s. Cheap as chips but does the job!
