  • Love that one too ^^, looks like she just said something really inappropriate

Or she just doesn't like having her picture taken

  • That's nice. What camera?

  • Amsterdam, Ilford Delta 400, Canon AE-1

  • nice vibe

  • moskva 5

I have been using it properly a lot too but currently the only way I can 'scan' 120 is by sticking it to a window and taking a picture of it with a dlsr, which is a bit shit.

  • there's some buildings I stare at every few days visualizing a picture pretty much like this, but I don't have the right lens to get it right

  • Used a disposable camera at secret cinema and I got some OK ones. Most are shite! Can be seen here:

  • the right lens to get it right

..well I'm not sure what "right" means / what you want it to look like in the end,
the one up there was just shot with a standard point and shoot focal length (35mm).

  • just something longer as it has to be from faaar away to get the right angle/nothing in the way and the longest lens I have is 50mm (don't want to crop it down loads and loads)

  • Some great stuff on here form some folks I havent see before? Love @Brucy 's series. The pic of the las on Primrose Hill (?) a page or so back was great too.
On the subject of SS, quite like this pair I took, most others were shite. Couple ok others, but lots of punter snaps.

  • Love how punchy and 3D-ish those Hexar shots look...

  • Hexar is best camera ever. Just a shame my shutter is playing up.. will send of for repair once I have finished the current film.

  • And of course it rained when we went...
(Hope I haven't already shared these?)

  • Sorry (I'm pretty sure I have asked this before) - this is the "autofokus" Hexar, right?

  • Yeahhhh Hexar AF, point and shoot tastic.

  • Bargain mamiya works like a dream, first roll was a bag of shite though

  • Agfa Vista 400 / Pentax-M 50 2.0

  • Days like today call for Portra. Its such a nice diffused and warmish light out there right now. Argh.

  • Any of your hipsters interested in some slightly dated slide film?

    £30 posted

or a couple of rolls of either adox or efke infrared, pretty sure it's adox

  • sorry for slow reply - Yeah It was my sister who got me back into analogue photography. I'm lucky, my nearest darkroom happens to be in my bathroom ;)

You should definitely do more B&W stuff Tiki!
I look forward to seeing some more shots

  • I'm really hooked on printing finished items as contact sheets and based on the joys I've had with 120 film through a brownie camera I'm beginning to lust after a medium format SLR.

Way out of my depth here.
Inspired by Macready's Mamiya 645 on the previous page can anyone give me some suggestions of similar cameras.

    Cheers
    Thomas

  • No hurries..

I used to do "bathroom darkroom" for quite some time, and it was fun, but those days are over for me I think; I dislike being around chemicals so much.
Though the best times I had with black and white photography was doing contact prints of large pinhole cameras negs in an improvised darkroom.

Like I said I think I lost my relation with black & white - though looking through that last lass roll I shot I realize that I really like a lot of the pictures.
It's very much a different world from colour, but maybe I'll delve into this again.

  • suggestions of similar cameras

I think I'd make my mind up first what I was comfortable with the most, format wise, doing squares like Hasselblad and the like, or 6x4,5 or 6x7 like with a Mamiya 7 etc.
If you continue the contact print route, "bigger" might be better.

Of course it depends on your budget as well..

  • I'm very excited as last night I found a roll of that Efke Infrared film from those other photos I posted.. luckily for me one of my housemates is a photography teacher and is going to lend me her Hasselblad MF Camera to playyyyyy!
Also it's expired IR film as I must have buried it deep away.. I wonder what will happen with the IR, hopefully something nice other than nothing/no image?
