Ah, is this is no longer a sale thread I feel I can comment...
My mate bought them as he wanted to get into racing
Amazing. And there are people progressing out of cat4 on aluminium bikes worth 25% of the cost of these wheels alone.

I know right? Imagine buying nice stuff at anything less than pro-tour level. WAC.

Not quite my point.
There is buying nice stuff for your Sunday best bike or whatever, that I can understand. It's a show piece and you'd really enjoy riding it.
I just can't get my head around "thinks about racing - buys £2k wheels to try out cat4" I literally don't understand the desire to piss money away like that. -

Maybe that's not a lot to him.
Maybe he should have donated it to charity then.
Maybe he already donates loads.
Maybe you know fuck all about him or his circumstances.
Much as I love this forum, there are some negative bastards about.

Is the whole wheel carbon? Guess hub is alu?
Sweet looking wheels still

Thanks for your comments guys. To be clear, my friend wanted nice stuff and earned enough money to buy it working fucking hard. Really loves the wheels but is worried about punctures on tubs ruining what little spare time he has to ride.
Hefty, I won't stoop to your level and say what I'm thinking. Yukirin, don't judge people before you know them, it makes you look small.
I shall go for a ride in the mountains tomorrow and will have already forgotten your unfortunate comments before I get to 1000m. Where will you be riding? Perhaps I should suggest if you don't live in the Dolomites like me you're not a real cyclist. Get a life gentlemen and go and ride your bikes.
Chadders, thanks for your post.
Goodnight.

I fear my sarcasm may have been missed.
Interested to hear you live in a couple of old Triumphs tho. Sounds rad.

Please someone buy these wheels. Make a great Christmas gift for the girlfriend. I would not buy for a wife, as divorce is costly. Your kids don't need an x-box or new school shoes, but you do need these wheels. Guaranteed to make you go faster, or £10 refund.
I am putting up for sale a set of Mavic Cosmic Ultimates complete with Mavic Yksion WTS tubs for a mate of mine. They are 2012 season wheels and have probably done no more than 500 miles. My mate bought them as he wanted to get into racing, but he's realised that being a dad doesn't leave enough time for such things and they have been sitting not really doing very much for some time so he'd like them gone. They are in extremely good condition, with the usual buttery smooth bearings and run true and straight. Wheels come with all the correct tools magnets, brake pads etc. and the tyres. I've posted a set of photos, but if you need any close-ups or additional information, I'll be happy to send it after a PM, or put it on the thread if you post a reply.
Looking for GBP1250, reduced from £1800.
I think it would be possible to post, but with something that costs so much, I think it better to see them before buying, which can be done in the High Wycombe area, or in town by arrangement.
All the best, Dan.
