Thanks bbr. I think the skewer wasn't done up tight enough in my case. Since then, I've started really clamping it down and the movement has stopped/reduced so it's no longer noticeable.
I'd prefer to convert both front and back to bolt, but converting no-name hubs seems fraught with wrong-product purchasing potential.
Anyone have troubles with the (Pompetamine) Kaffenback fork and disc brakes? When I brake vaguely hard at speed, the front wheel deflects about an inch over to the left (towards the disc). I'm using MTB BB7s and Tektro v-brake pull drop levers. It's not replicable off the bike. I've tightened the QR as much as I can sensibly go, checked the hub bearings and spoke tensions and they all seem fine.
Is the steel fork too flexy for disc brakes?
EDIT: It's the Kaffenback fork, not Pompetamine. I can't imagine there's a great difference though.
