Might be a silly question, but does having friction shifting for the front derailleur mean I can change from a double to a triple chainset without any fuss?
The only times we used the big ring this year were accidental. 39/30 or something would do the job (32/11 on the back)
I have no intention of ever using the big ring. Only that all modern chainsets are triples. Could I just get a triple and only use the Granny rings?
