  • @Dramatic_Hammer not easily, road bikes have gears so front+rear mech and all the junk that goes with them.

    You could use something like these to add gears onto a track bike but thats the smallest of the changes.

    2 back wheels - one fixed/track and one for gears
    cables and mech adjusting - constantly having to recable/uncable and adjust mechs, not to mention whatever track frame you start with won't have holes for cables so you need to bodge them to fit and bodge them well so the track aren't angry

    Best off just buying 2 bikes and/or going single speed and using a brake you can unbolt and hinged clamp brake lever(s)

  • I already have a geared bike (well two actually) but fancy a fixed for general tooling about and taking to the velodrome... I'm always up for more bikes but I'm sure it will go down well at home!
