1989 Specialized Rockhopper Comp

I've owned this bike twice, and I think it's probably time to sell it (again). It's in very good nick for its age, although it has hideous decals and quite a few little chips in the thick yellow paint. I have fitted Nitto Promenade bars, shimano flat bar brake levers, full mudguards and flat pedals with clever grippy bits to make this a utility sort of bike. It's lovely to ride, and has 21 gears with "old skool" thumbshifters.

I'm looking for £150 and the bike is in SE23. Happy to provide more photos on request.

  • size centre to top? top tube length?

  • Oops, I stared long and hard at the ad before posting it, but couldn't see what I'd missed out. I'll measure now.

OK: seat tube is 44cm ctc, 47cm ctt
    Top tube is 55cm ctc

Happy to supply the bike with its original quill stem and flat bars, or with some basic black risers. And I might be tempted to take a lower price if you didn't want the rather nice Rolls saddle...
