Gunpowder park
Mixture of short and long grass, destroyer of rear mechs. Think centre section of hillingdon and you won't be far wrong.
It's an easy ride along the lea valley (some overground stations are along there) or a short up and over the hill from Chingford.

Mostly grass/open marshland as far as I remember. Was muddy last time I raced there but it's pretty open so probably should drain the recent rain away okay, might be a bit greasy though.
I've ridden there from from Hackney before but you could take a train from Liverpool street to Enfield Lock.

I've had enough of early Sunday mornings, hope to race most Sundays for the next few months.
Talking of which, who has raced at Gunpowder Park before? If I can work out an easy way of getting there I'll race next Sunday, but it'd be useful to know what the course is like and what the surface(s) are to inform tyre choice.
